Today, I am showing you How to add Google Analytics to Wordpress. Just follow these 4 simple steps below!

Step 1: Sign up for Google Analytics

If you haven't done this already, then go ahead and sign up for Google Analytics. Once you've done that, you can go ahead and log into your Wordpress website.

Step 2: Install the Google Analytics Plugin for Wordpress

There are multiple Plugins for Wordpress, that can do the job, but I personally use this one- Google Analytics for Wordpress.

You can download it from the Wordpress directory or just go to Plugins > Add New on your sidebar and type Google Analytics by WebKinder.

This plugin automatically excludes you from the tracking, which is really handy since every time you make a tweak on your blog, it gets tracked. You don't want to be tracking your own visits now, do you? ;)

Step 3: Activate the plugin

After you have downloaded the Plugin, you need to activate it. Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins, locate it and then click on activate.

Step 4: Insert your  Google Analytics ID

As a final step, you just need to go to the Settings Page of the Plugin and insert your tracking ID. Select Settings from your sidebar, then look for Google Analytics. Once you are on the Settings page, you should see a field called GA Tracking code.Simply paste your GA tracking code there and click save. Also, don't forget to check the option to exclude your visits from the tracking ;)Note: The plugin will ask you to authenticate the first time, so just follow the instructions on the screen and make sure you are signed into your Google Analytics account.
